At least two people were killed and over 20 others sustained injuries after a double-decker bus overturned near Jhandewalan Temple in the Karol Bagh area of Delhi early Wednesday morning.

The bus, carrying approximately 25 passengers, was en route from Jaipur when it reportedly lost balance and flipped over. Authorities were alerted to the incident shortly after 1 am, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.

Rescue teams conducted swift operations to pull passengers out of the damaged vehicle. The injured were transported to nearby medical facilities, including Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Initial investigations point toward possible driver error or loss of control, but officials have stated that the exact cause will only be confirmed after a thorough probe. The police are examining all aspects, including vehicle condition and road circumstances.
