In a major push to India’s aviation growth, Narendra Modi inaugurated the Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh’s Jewar region. The project is expected to significantly enhance connectivity in the Delhi-NCR area and reduce congestion at existing airports.
During his address, the Prime Minister said that the airport would give wings to the dreams of India’s youth while strengthening the country’s economic potential. He added that such infrastructure projects play a crucial role in shaping a self-reliant and developed nation.
Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu highlighted that the airport will be developed as an aerotropolis, creating a modern ecosystem around it. He noted that cargo services from the airport will enable local manufacturers to connect with global markets more efficiently.
The first phase of the airport is equipped with world-class facilities, including a 4-km runway and advanced passenger amenities. The event was attended by Yogi Adityanath and Anandiben Patel.
